Army vehicle damaged in Sopore IED blast

A vehicle of 22 Rashtria Rifles was partially damaged in a low intensity Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast in Sopore outskirts in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday, police said.
SSP Sopore Javid Iqbal told Rising Kashmir that the vehicle was partially damaged in the IED blast.
He, however, said none was injured in the blast.

“The army vehicle was returning to the camp situated on a hillock when militants triggered an IED between Yamalzanwari and Harwan area of Sopore at around 7:30 pm. The tyres of the vehicle got deflated only,” SSP said.
He said whole area was cordoned off and searches launched to nab the militants.
On Monday, a police vehicle was damaged in an IED blast near Wadoora area of Sopore.
