BSF man killed in Pak firing in Samba Youth shot dead in Sopore

A BSF jawan deployed along the International Border (BI) in Jammu was killed in Pakistani troops firing while a youth was shot dead by unknown gunmen in Sopore area of north Kashmir on Wednesday.
Sources said BSF Head Constable R P Hazare was killed in Pakistan troops sniper fire along the IB in Samba sector of Jammu province.
They said the BSF men also retaliated and targeted the posts of Pakistani troops.
Meanwhile, unknown gunmen fired upon 26-year-old Arif Ahmad Sofi son of Mohammad Maqbool Sofi R/o Wahipora Unisoo at Herwan Bomia, Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district this evening, police sources said.
They said Sofi received critical bullet injuries and died on spot.
Immediately after the shoot-out, police and army men rushed to the spot to take stock of the situation.
