Paying tribute to Mohammad Essa Fazili, Syed Owais Shafi, and Sabzaar Ahmad, killed in Hakura gunfight, Hurriyat (G) Chairman Syed Ali Geelani Monday said “Indian insensitivity is the sole reason for this unabated bloodshed”.
“These youths spilled their hot blood for the great and sacred cause of Kashmir and the entire nation of Kashmir is indebted to them for their ultimate sacrifice. It is the collective responsibility of the people of Kashmir and the leadership to take the ongoing movement to its ultimate realization,” he added.
Criticizing Indian authorities, Geelani said that instead of taking measures to resolve long pending issue in its historical perspective, “they want to thrust their choice through barrel of gun”.
Syed Ali Geelani said, “We have been deprived of rights and that our youth lay their lives to end the age-old slavery of their nation, putting huge responsibility on our shoulders to honor these sacrifices and take mission to its logical end”.
Geelani said that prevailing uncertainty in state and “unrealistic” approach of authorities is the basic cause of human tragedy and it is the reason that youth are losing their precious lives.
Authorities are responsible for this horrendous situation, said Geelani and added that these authorities are adamant to carry forward this situation and prolong this “unauthorized forced rule”.
Lashing out at state finance minister Haseeb Drabu for his statement wherein he has said that, “Kashmir was not a political issue’’, Geelani said: “These turncoats for securing favors from their masters, are issuing ridiculous and senseless statements.”
Lamenting at PDP leadership, Syed Ali Geelani said that they are simply “paid agents” and that “these servants, even were cautioned by New Delhi, when Mehbooba Mufti in her tweet said some remarks on civilian killings in Shopian:.
“She was asked to remain silent, as it was none of her business to raise voice against excesses perpetrated by forces,” he said.
Huuriyat (G) statement said on the directions of Syed Ali Geelani, Hurriyat leaders, Hakeem Abdul Rashid, Mohammad Rafiq Owasi and Mohammad Ashraf Laya, Abdul Ahad and other activists visited Soura Srinagar and participated in funeral prayers of slain youth Mohammad Eissa Fazili.
Statement said Mohammad Ashraf Laya in his address to mourners said that “nation is duty bound to carry the mission of youth to its logical end”.
Statement said that Tehreek-e-Huriyat leader Umer Aadil Dar was arrested by police and lodged in police station Nowgam.
