JRL condemns Baramulla killings ‘Killings on political grounds inhuman, un-Islamic’

The Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Mohammad Yasin Malik has condemned killing of three youth in Baramulla and termed killing on political grounds or party affiliations as inhuman, un-Islamic and unacceptable.
Three youth were killed by unknown gunmen in Baramulla last evening. Police has blamed Lashkar-e-Toiba for the killings.
Hurriyat (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said JRL strongly condemns killing of three youth in Baramulla.
He said any killing on grounds of political or party affiliations is inhuman, un-Islamic and unacceptable to people and leadership of Kashmir.
“While the state authorities conveniently blame armed youth, their organisations in fact condemn the killings and many time blame state agencies. In the process, the culprits never get identified. It is a matter of serious concern and needs to be investigated. We appeal the UN to take note of this and set up an impartial inquiry into these killings,” Mirwaiz said.
Later, in a press statement, JRL appealed the United Nations to take note of the killings and set up an impartial inquiry into these killings.
“The time and again people are killed in such a manner and no one knows who kills them as the killers remain unidentified gunmen,” read the statement.

Two BJP activists were recently attacked by unidentified gunmen in Pulwama and Srinagar in which one got killed and another is battling for life in a hospital here.
Meanwhile, JRL also condemned the “outrageous and inhuman statement” of new Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta, who termed the gruesome rape and murder of 8-year-old nomad girl in Kathua as “small matter which should not be given much importance”.
“It reflects the sick communal mindset and value structure of the proud RSS man,” read the JRL statement.
The JRL also condemned the induction of MLA Kathua Rajiv Jasrotia in the cabinet.
“He was organizer of the pro-rapist rallies in Kathua and his induction in cabinet shows how helpless the PDP are and how shameless they can be to stay on for the sake of chair,” it added.
