Kashmir turned into slaughter house: JRL

Lamenting at the State authorities for unleashing a “reign of terror” and “disproportionate and unjustified use of lethal weapons against innocent civilians” Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) Thursday said that State authorities had turned the entire Kashmir valley into a “slaughter house”.

During a joint consultation meeting of Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik at Geelani’s Hyderpora residence, the three leaders deliberated upon the recent situation in the State and termed the killing of teenage student Ummar Kumar as unfortunate and deplorable.

The JRL statement issued here said, “We are deeply grieved over the killings of yet to be blossomed flowers.”
Reiterating their pledge, the JRL said, “We are facing unbridled and arrogant power.”

The JRL statement said: “We will never forget sacrifices rendered by martyrs. We are duty bound to carry their mission till its logical conclusion. We will never surrender and will pursue the mission of martyrs, despite terror unleashed by brutal authorities. Resistance leadership won’t allow anyone to deceive nation and bargain against the sacrifices of martyrs.”

Meanwhile, JRL Thursday announced that they would address a news conference at Ahadoos Hotel on Saturday, May 5.
