Mahmood Shah, Chief Lashkar-e-Taiba, Tuesday paid tribute “to slain Divisional Commander of Jaish-e-Muhammad, Tanveer Ahmed Bhat, Noman and sister Rubi Jan”.
Shah in an e-mailed statement said: “Such sacrifices promise glad tidings for the mission. It is evident that not only do the sons but the daughters also have rendered sacrifices.”
“It is not only for India but for the whole world to see that a nation stands united with fighters against Indian aggression.”
Shah in his statement “praised the fighters for fighting a 22-hour long battle with forces despite insufficient supplies”.
Mahmood Shah in his statement condemned what he called the assault on civilians by forces and the damage to property.
Mahmood Shah in his statement thanked the public “for their immense support to fighters and that such love, affection and support is of pivotal importance and blessing for us. The public and fighters stand on the same page”.
