Protest rallies in PaK against killings in Kashmir

Protest rallies were taken out across Pakistan administered Kashmir (PaK) on Monday to condemn the killings in Kashmir.
On the call of PaK government, a ‘condemnation day’ was observed today and a big rally was taken out from Press Club to Quaid-e-Azam bridge.

The locals, government employees, Kashmiri refugees, the workers of Jamaat-e-Islami, Pakistan Peoples Party and other religious parties took part in the rally amidst chanting of anti-India and pro-freedom slogans.
While addressing the protesters, PaK Education Minister Barrister Iftikhar Gilani said how long Kashmiris would continue to die with Indian bullets and how long the world would continue to remain silent on the bloodbath of people of Kashmir.

He said PaK people would never let the people of Valley down and “we strongly condemn the killings of Kashmiris, who have been fighting for their basic rights since long.”
“In this era when everyone talks about the human rights, human rights abuses by Indian forces in Kashmir are at peak and these must be condemned by one and all,” Gilani said.

Opposition leader in PaK Assembly Chaudhry Muhammad Yaseen said people of PaK cannot remain silent on killings of Kashmiris. “People in Kashmir are our brothers and we will continue to support their political and genuine struggle for right to self-determination.”
He urged world community to take note of innocent killings in Shopian.
Yaseen said that it was time to launch diplomatic offence against India.
“We will raise the issue with human rights organisations in Europe and other western countries and seek their help in stopping the killings of innocent people in Valley,” he said.
PTI leader said UN, European Union and Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) must pressurize New Delhi to give access to the human rights bodies and fact finding missions to Kashmir.
He said Pakistan Foreign Office must activate its Kashmir desks in Europe and other western countries to keep the Western world update about the critical situation in Kashmir, where everyday a mother loses her son and a father buries his child.
The PTI leader said that it was high time for all political parties of Pakistan and PaK to speak in one voice and raise their voices in support of the oppressed Kashmiris.
Protest rallies were also taken out in Mirpur, Kotli, Bagh, Neelum, Haveli, Rawalakot, Bhimber, Jehlum Valley and Sudhanoti, where deputy commissioners and the leaders of political parties took to the streets to condemn the Shopian killings.
The PaK government called for observing black day across PaK on Monday to condemn the killing of 17 Kashmiri youth in Indian firing in south Kashmir.
The protest rallies and processions were also taken out in small and major towns including district and tehsil headquarters to condemn the killings in Valley.
Addressing the rallies, speakers belonging to different sections of society strongly condemned the killings in Valley and impressed upon United Nations, human rights groups and international community to play its role for ensuring early peaceful settlement of Kashmir issue in line with wishes and aspirations of people of J&K.
“People of Jammu Kashmir would continue fighting against the Indian rule till their struggle reaches logical end,” they vowed.
