SI among 3 cops injured in Tral blast

SRINAGAR, Nov 5: Militants last night exploded an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) at Chandrigam -Tral. Three police men including a sub-Inspector were injured.

Reports said militants first fired in air. Shortly after the firing in air, security forces and rushed towards the area not knowing it was trap. As soon as an armoured vehicle reached near Chandrigam, militant detonated IED that exploded with a bang creating panic among the forces personnel. A Sub-Inspector (SI) and two constables of Jammu and Kashmir police were injured in the blast.

The injured were identified Sub inspector was identified as Nazir Ahmed. Reinforcement was called in to nab the militants; however they managed to escape from the spot. During the cordon and search operation no arrests were made.

Reports said that Army patrolling party headed by police and Army officials inspected the spot of incident today.
