All Parties Hurriyet Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani has paid rich tributes to Hizbul Mujahideen Commander, Riyaz Naikoo and his associate Aadil Ahmad who achieved martyrdom yesterday morning while fighting Indian occupational forces.
Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, said Riyaz Naikoo is among thousands of peace loving Kashmiris who continue to lay down their pious lives for the freedom of Jammu and Kashmir from Indian occupational forces for the last seven decades.
The APHC Chairman while paying heartfelt condolences to the families of martyrs reminded the world of oppression, aggression and persecution unleashed by the RSS-BJP backed Modi regime in the occupied territory and called on peaceful nations especially Pakistan to stand with oppressed Kashmiris in their right to self -determination. “International community should hold India accountable for gross human rights violations, persecution of free press and economic terrorism in IOK and call for imposition of economic sanctions on India,” he said.
Gilani also thanked the youth of the occupied territory for their relentless and committed struggle for the self determination. While reminding the world community especially the Muslim world about the scarifies of Kashmiris for the freedom struggle, he said India should understand the fact that this muscular policy, aggressive posturing will only strengthen the will of Kashmiris against their battle with the occupational forces in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
He contested the Indian claim, propaganda and narrative of linking Jammu and Kashmir freedom struggle for the right to self-determination with terrorism and reminded Indian regime that the Kashmiris were fighting against the Illegal politics and military occupation like the United India fought against the British Imperialism. “Jammu and Kashmir’s freedom struggle for the right to self determination is globally recognised for being peaceful and this right promised to Kashmiris by both Indian PM Jawhar Lal Nehru himself and UN and UNSC resolutions.”
India, Gilani said, can’t deprive the people of Jammu and Kashmir their right to freedom and self-determination for too long and called on the international community, Muslim world especially Pakistan to stand with the Kashmiris in their legitimate fight for their rights.
The APHC chairman showered his profound gratitude to those standing with the Kashmiris in these testing times of COVID 19 pandemic when India has under the pretext and excuse of security policy snapped internet and mobile services, which were restored partially after six months, yesterday, and condemned the latest communication blackout by India as a tactic to break the will of the Kashmiris.
