Three soldiers killed after militants attack Indian Army convoy in Pampore

Srinagar : Three soldiers were killed after militants opened fire on an army convoy in Pampore in Pulwama district on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway, sources said. Search operation is underway. Security forces have cordoned off the adjoining residential area and launched search operation to track down the militants, a police official said.
According to reports, the convoy was attacked near a market circle near the national highway. Due to presence of locals, the militants fired in a restrained manner.

Sources said two soldiers were also injured in the attack that took place at the place crowded with civilians at Kadlabal in Pampore town of Pulwama district.

Reports said that militants fired at the army convoy at Kadlabal in Pampore town of Pulwama district around 3:30 pm, army said. The group of militants came on a motorcycle and ran away after the firing indiscriminately, sources said. (PTK)
