Srinagar, May 7:
A tourist from Tamil Nadu was killed after being hit by stone pelting in Narbal area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Monday.
A police officer said a tourist bus, which was on its way to Gulmarg, came under stone pelting at Narabal area in Budgam district in the morning.
A 22-year-old tourist from Chennai, Tamil Nadu S Thirumani travelling in the vehicle was hit by the stone on forehead and nose.
“He sustained injuries and was evacuated to a Srinagar hospital. The tourist succumbed to injuries in the evening,” the police officer said.
He said police has registered a case and launched a manhunt to track down the youth involved in the incident.
