Tral shuts for second day

A shutdown was observed in Tral town of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district for the second straight day on Thursday.
Eyewitnesses said that shopkeepers had opened their shops, however, a group of youth took to roads and pelted stones on them, forcing shopkeepers to shut their business.

“The shutdown was enforced upon us,” said a shopkeeper who runs business at Bus Stand Tral.
50 female students of GDC Tral fainted during clashes with forces on Wednesday. The students were protesting against the Kathua rape and murder case.
